My Chosen Course is an Approved Honours Degree Course Grant aid shall be limited to a maximum of 4 years in total for a course at level 8 of the framework of qualifications, except for courses where the normal duration is more than 4 years. NOTE: The second chance option for re-entry, which allows those who have dropped out of a course without qualifying to return and re-start their studies after 5 years, is also to be applied without the requirement to return to a course at the same level, but subject to the principle of progression.
